New Federal Inspection Services Facilities to open in Terminal A
Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport executives and government officials inaugurated the recently renovated, 87,000 square-foot, $55 million renovation of Terminal C.
During the tour, Aerostar announced the start of the construction of a new Federal Inspection Service (FIS) area in Terminal A, to be used by Customs and Border Protection, at a cost of $4 million. It is expected to begin operation in September.
More non-stop flights to SJU!
Next May, Iberia will restart their MAD-SJU non-stop service with 3 weekely flights. Also, Norwegian Air Shuttle confirmed that their operation will continue this year with non-stop services to Olso, Copenhagen, Stockholm and London. Meanwhile, Condor will add one more flight with non-stop service to Frankfurt, Germany. In domestic manners, Southwest will increase their operations in SJU from 12 weekly flights to 20.
SJU recycled 116,900 lbs in less than a year!
Aerostar Airport Holdings launched the Green Airport Program with Hugo Neu on April 2015. Today, the company announced that in less than a year it has recycled 116,900 lbs of paper, plastic, aluminum and carboard. Hurray!
SJU welcomes Norwegian Air Shuttle
The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport welcomed Norwegian Air Shutle on November. With the arrival of this european airline Puerto Rico recovered the non-stop route to London and added new non-stop destinations like Oslo, Copenhaguen and Stockholm.
